Costa Rica Holiday Rental Auto Deals And Tourist Warnings
Costa Rica is popular with numerous organizations and promoters of various stripes. Dependent on who you read it is "the happiest country on the planet". Or in the mind of some, Costa Rica is the number 1 green or ecologically pristine environment on earth. It is "a beach lovers paradise" and to others it is the "friendliest South American country". And to a growing number of visitors, it is quickly becoming "a little United States" where it's possible to get plenty of the exact same products and services for considerably less cash. Car rental deals are no exception.
When you consider the numerous legitimate perspectives of Costa Rican folks, one thing is sure, they're decidedly relaxed, friendly, and satisfied despite what initially seems to be imbedded poverty. If misery is related to private indebtedness, then while there's clearly real existence level poverty for sure, almost all of what you see isn't truly poverty. It is simply a more straightforward, regularly debt free life where relative freedom from the day by day hassle of private debt, government, and the omni police state presence. It's a place where perhaps contentment, not material possessions, is the true measure of the society.
Talking of cars, driving in Costa Rica can be informing, entertaining, and mad! My experience driving in Costa Rica was a little on the wild side to say the least....It is unquestionably not for the shy! You have to be prepared for just about anything. Your senses must wake up! You have to keep an eye open for yourself and for all others because they don't look out for themselves or others real well. They appear to move along just fine without the giant regulation present in the U.S. Most seem slightly indifferent to others in numerous circumstances. It is as if they're just be-bopping along their merry little way!
A mini bus hire is great for exploring the out of the way jungle lodges and taking rain forest tours. It's best to get a local guide to discover which roads to avoid because Costa Rica is known for its terrible roads. Pot holes apart, landslides and bridge outages are not unusual in the stormy season. Often the sole way to get from where you are to where you want to go is to get out of the automobile and walk through the stream because the bridge is gone! Trust me, get a local guide and save yourself the trouble.
As a final note, I have one definite word of advice. Do not swim in the water at the beach unless you know for certain they aren't contaminated. Most of them, sadly, are nothing but a giant septic system. So unless you wish to swim in a septic tank, my recommendation is to go to a beach which has been clearly licensed as a safe, prime quality beach. If it is close to a hotel, it is often a natural septic system or better yet a normal sewage treatment plant. Sadly true, and do not believe differently simply because you see some fools surfing out there.
